L'Abbé De Madame, a comedy in the style of Molière, written by Michelle Sébal and presented by Compagnie Scène Zen.
"…provided I confess!"
A comedy of manners in period costumes, written in the style of Molière.
The Baroness de Saint-Amène is preparing to receive her niece Annick, accompanied by her friend Blanche. Father Cassine, her confessor, lives there permanently, as do Prunille, the cook, Célestin, the gardener, and Francine, who arrived there somehow... Unexpected visitors complete the picture.
In an offbeat and burlesque style, this somewhat risqué comedy revisits the language of Molière's time, and highlights prejudices of class, race and sex.
