Departure from Dourdan station
Whichever side of the station you are on, you will need to take the pedestrian walkway to the north. At the end of this footbridge you will take on your right then your left in order to take the rue de l'épine blanche which will lead you straight to the Bois des Brosses.
You finally arrive at the edge of the forest
You will then take on your left the road aptly named Route du Bois des Brosses which will lead to the D836 which you will have to cross on the right. You then pass in front of the Semont forest house and the path continues very quickly to the left.
It is always straight until the Route des Buttes blanches where you will join the GR1. You will have to turn right to go up it to join the Route des Sighs.
At the star-shaped crossroads, follow the GR taking the Route de la Lieu opposite slightly to the right. Always follow the GR to reach the Carrefour du Beau Chêne. After these 5km walk, it's the first picnic point but not terrible because of the road.
Without crossing the road, take the PR “la Route de Madame” which returns to the forest at the symmetry of your arrival. It will simply lead to the Carrefour de Madame. Then take the second left and you will arrive at the Nemours crossroads which is the second picnic point around 7km.
The road will become less regular with the Route aux Lapins heading west. At the first intersection, turn left then right to find the Route de Midi which you will follow on the left to the Pavillon Maison Forestière.
Entry into Sainte-Mesme
Continue down the Montée du Garde then turn on your right into Rue Julien Minos until you reach a T intersection. If you are not interested in the church and the fountain, you can continue on the PR and take an immediate left, otherwise it's right 3 times to reach the church.
Retrace your steps to rue Charles Legaineur and opposite you will have access to the fountain.
You can then continue to turn back to the right until the previous T intersection, join the PR by continuing straight under the railway.
The national forest of Dourdan
Immediately after the railway line, take Chemin du Moulin du Pré on your left. It will be straight until the first intersection.
So turn right and go down due south on the Route des Septs Buttes. You will arrive at Le Grillon then continue until you reach the Route du Parc to follow on the left, always indicated as PR.
Go along the Poulet stream and cross the Route du Président before turning left to join the Route de l'Élu, still following the PR.
You will then make a bend on the right, then leave this road on the left to cross the Chemin de la Queue d'Auneau. Take the GR111 to the right on the Chemin du Potelet until you reach Dourdan and its gendarmerie.
Back to Dourdan
It's not over yet! Cross the roundabout, second on the right on rue Lebrun then the 4th on the left in rue du Puits des Champs.
Just before crossing the Orge, take the René Veneau promenade.
Before the basketball court, turn left to reach rue Jube de la Perelle, then left in this street and the next right with a view of the church.
Go up this street and take the first right to find yourself in the church square. Direction the castle that we will bypass on the left on two sides.
This time, it feels like the end, all you have to do is take Rue du Faubourg de Chartres to Avenue Amede Guenee, which ends at the RER station.
