On the lands of the Duchess of Uzès

Description of the hike

Start Point: in Bonnelles, park in the sports stadium car park

1. Exit the car park and at the intersection turn right. Keep going straight on this street then at the roundabout take the opposite direction in the direction of "toutes directions" by the Chemin des Clos.

2. At the D988, cross it and take the dead end opposite, then turn immediately right on the dirt road that crosses the fields and keep going straight (you are on the GR, marked white and red).

3. After the chapel on your left, you pass two successive bridges: pass the barrier and then continue straight ahead on this GR marked path to the road.

4. At the road, leave the GR and turn right, then take the first left. You arrive in Bourgneuf then on the D 988.

5. At the D988, cross it and take the track on your right to turn left 150m further on a poorly marked path that you do not leave.

6. The path widens and you arrive at a first footbridge on your left, do not cross it and continue straight on. Soon you come across a second footbridge: continue straight ahead and don't leave this path until you come across a wall.

7. At the end of the path facing a wall turn right and follow the path until you are facing a gate.

8. At the gate on the left up to the road.

9. At the road on the right you enter Bonnelles. Leave a street on your right and continue on the main road: you will then pass the castle stables on your right.

10. After passing the stables, turn right towards the church (Option: turn right again through the large gate to discover the Château d'Uzès).

11. At the stop sign in front of the church, go straight on then take the second right (the street opposite is a no-go street) which you go down to the bottom.

12. At the bottom of the street, at the intersection turn right again to find the sports center parking lot. You have arrived.
