The road of the great huntsman

Description of the hike

Start Point: On the D 906 between Cernay and Vieille-Eglise, take the D 61 towards Celle-les-Bordes, then
park at the cemetery immediately after a bridge.

1. Take the D 61 on the left and enter the village of Celle-les-Bordes. At the stop sign, go straight on, along the Château de la Celle on your left and the church on the right. At a fork stay on the D 61 towards Bullion. You then cross the fields, then on your right you follow the forest, then a meadow and the forest again.

2. Arriving at a large bend through the woods, turn right onto the PR (yellow markings), cross the barrier and follow the path which runs alongside a fence on the right.

3. Pass a path on your left then at the fork on the left going downhill via the PR.

4. At the crossroads 1st right still on the PR.

5. At the intersection turn left, then straight ahead following the PR markings to the wash house in Moutier.

6. At the wash house straight on the PR until the main road where you turn right onto the GR (white and red markings).

7. After passing through the houses you arrive at the hamlet of La Claye: take the path on the right GR marker and always straight ahead following this marker until the D 72.

8. At the road, cross it and continue straight on the Chemin du Grand Veneur, still marked GR.

9. Arriving at a crossroads with a signpost, continue straight ahead following the direction “Etang de la Tour”.
Follow the GR, PR and PNR markings.

10. At the Croix du Grand Veneur continue straight on, always on the GR and the PR, letting the PNR go on your left, then at the crossroads where the GR and the PR turn right, continue straight on until the next crossroads.

11. At the crossroads between forest plots 22.10 in front on the left, 22.17 behind on the left and 22.18 behind on the right, turn right then straight on.

12. At the Enclaves crossroads with forest plots 20.28 opposite on the left and 20.26 behind on the right, leave the GR and the PNR on your left, to take the PR on the right. Continue straight ahead until you reach the Enclaves post.

13. At the signpost, continue straight on the Route des Enclaves, watch out for the descent. At the bottom of the descent you arrive at a fence, cross the wooden footbridge, and follow the path which runs alongside the stream.
You then pass a second footbridge then you walk along a fence on your right. Arrived at a bridge on your left at the forest plot 20.11 do not cross the bridge and continue straight along the fence. Then 60m after this bridge take the path that goes up on your right. Arrived at the top continue this path which goes to the left until a crossing.

14. At the crossroads straight on the PR. Soon you come out of the forest and cross the fields downhill. At the D 61
right always on the PR. You are back in the parking lot.
