Fauré celebrating

The Gabriel Fauré Conservatory Festival brings together ensembles and orchestras...

of all the aesthetics of the two establishments in order to end the school year in a friendly atmosphere in the rural and bucolic setting of the Jardins de la Motte. The opportunity for teachers to put months of work into practice in a friendly atmosphere, often accompanied by the sun, their feet in the grass.

CONCERT OF THE ZAHIR QUARTET AND THE BIRD SINGERS
21 p.m. • JARDINS DE LA MOTTE
Like Acanthis, transformed into a bird by Zeus, the six musicians of this unique ensemble come together to form a unique musical instrument. The Zahir Quartet and Les Chanteurs d’Oiseaux thus pay homage, in music, to the great family of birds.
After their meeting at the Festival des Forêts in 2018, the six instrumentalists never left each other's side. We were able to hear them everywhere in France, in prestigious settings such as the Folle Journee de Nantes, Mont-Saint-Michel, on France Musique or even the Grange de Meslay. Between transcriptions, original pieces and creations, the whistles (made without a call) and the saxophones mingle to create an imaginary aviary,
musical and poetic.
At a time of general awareness of the consequences of global warming, birds and their hopeful song guide us towards happy sobriety.

Acanthis set:
The Zahir Quartet: Guillaume Berceau, Soprano Saxophone • Étienne Boussard, Saxophone
Alto • Florent Louman, Tenor Saxophone • Joakim Ciesla, Baritone Saxophone
The Birdsongers: Jean Boucault and Johnny Rasse
