Saint Fort's Day

For the traditional Saint Fort festival, which will be held on May 18, 19 and 20, Poigny-la-Forêt, in collaboration with the “Sauvons les Moulineaux” association, transports the village to the Middle Ages!

On the program for this festive day:

Medieval village;
Knight combat;
Tales ;
Visits;
Workshops (by reservation);
Roast pig (by reservation);

Children will be able to practice crossbow shooting, compete in the “little knight tournament”, draw their own coat of arms and do other old-fashioned creative activities.

Saturday May 18 at 14 p.m.: a hike will be organized from the CLaude Vatran room parking lot to the Moulineaux site in the forest between Poigny and Guiperreux.

Sunday May 19 at 18 p.m.: medieval dance demonstration by children from the village school, followed by a group of storytellers who will take the public on a journey through eras and countries.

Sunday May 19 in the evening: a “Tout un fromage” stand from cheesemaker Ludovic Bisot will allow visitors to buy plates of “cochonaille”.

Monday May 20 noon: roast pig meal which will allow visitors to taste this traditional country festival dish.

The profits from the medieval festival will contribute to the preservation of the "nymphaeum", the remains of a steam bath from the beginning of the 17th century which is located on the site of the former Priory of Moulineaux.

Reservation for the hike/visit to Les Moulineaux, workshops for children and the obligatory roast pig meal.
