Garden of the Palace of the King of Rome

Admire the romantic garden of the palace of the King of Rome in Rambouillet.

Go through the gates of the Palace of the King of Rome and discover its garden. Flowery paths, fruit trees, a pond, and a small kiosk make it a real haven of peace.
This palace was built in 1784 by order of Louis XVI and then remodeled by Napoleon I in 1812 to serve as a residence for his son: the King of Rome. The garden was redesigned in 1991 according to the original plans. Explore its five hectares and admire this natural setting and the view of the palace. Take a break on one of the stone benches arranged around the pond and enjoy the restful calm that inhabits each grove and each tree. As for the Palace of the King of Rome, it regularly hosts exhibitions as well as cultural events.
