Pascal and Claire, father and daughter, welcome you to Ablis and offer you their delicious fresh asparagus.
Mainly cereal growers, they decided to diversify by planting 4 hectares of white asparagus in April 2019 in Ablis.
From the start in very reasoned agriculture, they made the choice to convert their plot of asparagus to organic farming in March 2020.
But why choose asparagus? In 1782, Simon PERROT, one of their ancestors, horticulturist and curious by nature, encountered a wild asparagus plant during one of his botanical excursions not far from Chartres. He began to produce it and after a few years, the fame of his asparagus reached the tables of King Louis XVIII thanks to Madame la Marquise de Vernon.
After more than 200 years, they take up the torch and hope to make you taste fresh, local asparagus, in organic conversion and above all as tasty as Simon's.
