House Elsa Triolet - Aragon

Discover the intimacy of the writer couple Elsa Triolet and Louis Aragon at the Moulin de Villeneuve in Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines, their last home, which has become a place for exhibitions and shows.

At the heart of a 5 hectare park, the Moulin de Villeneuve dating from the XII century was often the setting and the source of inspiration for the writings of the couple Louis Aragon and Elsa Triolet. Remains of the milling activity, objects of the couple and works of artist friends coexist to create a warm and unique atmosphere. This is where some of the finest pages of French literature were written.

This writers' house houses the apartment-museum and the tomb of the two writers as well as a library of 30 volumes.
It has also become over the years a lively place open to contemporary artistic creation: exhibitions (painting, sculpture, photography...), meetings, musical performances...
