For the Night of the Forests, come and rediscover the Hauts Besnières state forest in a new light. In the twilight, with all your senses heightened, you'll have the opportunity to listen to the gentle murmur of water, the sounds of nocturnal animals, breathe in the mingled scents of humus and aromatic plants, and identify trees and plants by touch or smell. The plots with very young trees are favorite spots for European nightjars, which can be seen at dusk as they hunt insects in flight or parade through the air like large nocturnal moths.
