The Palace of the King of Rome is located in the city center of Rambouillet. It hosts temporary exhibitions throughout the year.
Built from 1784 on the order of Louis XVI, the Palace of the King of Rome was then rebuilt and transformed by Napoleon 1st in 1812 to serve as a Palace for his son, the King of Rome.
The Palace now houses the Espace Ville d'Art et d'Histoire, where you will find, among other things, a model of the monument in its original state, and some of the portraits kept in the municipal collections.
In addition, various temporary exhibitions are regularly organized on the 1st floor of the building. During school holidays, activities and workshops for children are organized there.
Also having a charming little garden at the back of the Palace, it is an unexpected visit in the heart of downtown Rambouillet.
