The National Sheepfold is a real farm today and an educational farm where the whole family can discover the life of the farm while having fun.
The establishment was created by Louis XIV to be a model farm by developing innovation in agriculture and livestock. At present it is a real training center for agricultural education and for farmers committed to sustainable development. But not only that, since at the National Sheepfold we can all explore the farm independently, playfully and instructively and meet the farmers and their animals.
Visit the farm freely or follow one of the guided tours organized in the afternoon. Over the seasons, many workshops are also organized for children. Manual goat milking, cow milking, horse-drawn carriage rides, animal care, sheep shearing... something to delight young and old!
Don't miss the arrival of the newcomers to the farm either: the kids are born in the spring, the lambs from September to February. As for the calves, piglets, rabbits and chicks, they come all year round.
