Eventually, the Sun King traveled to Vieille-Eglise-en-Yvelines and diverted all the water points in his path, which formed the "royal river".
In the XNUMXth century, Cernay-la-Ville was an essential stopover for landscape painters: its environment, its landscapes and its inns attracted a certain number of artists who admired these colorful places.
