La Grenouillère garden

The history of the Jardin de la Grenouillère dates back to 1988. The 2 500 m² garden was then only a marshy field crossed by the Yvette stream. The owners then undertake drainage works. Françoise Lacaze then called on a neighbor landscaper: Sonja Gauron. Today, the garden is organized around ponds from the sources of the Yvette. Placed "under the sign of water", it brings together heather plants and aquaphilous plants. During your visit you will discover willows, sedges, loosestrife, gunneras, astilbes, primulas, filipendulas, hostas... You can also observe dragonflies, kingfishers, herons and of course the ubiquitous frogs! A route along the pontoons allows the walker to discover rare species and a vegetable garden of medieval inspiration. passion ! The Grenouillère garden offers free tours of the garden by appointment during opening days from 14 p.m. to 18 p.m.: Every last Saturday of the month from May to July and from September to October. Visits are also offered in June every Saturday afternoons and some Sundays. Guided tours are possible from time to time (see the calendar here) and on request for groups of 10 to 25 people.
