The Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions of Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines is located in the old "Moulin Neuf", former property of the Rohan-Guménée family. It was on March 19, 1974 that Madame Lebon donated the Moulin Neuf to the town of St Arnoult, for the benefit of the Historical Society which created the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions there. short story. During your visit, you will discover the "History" room which will make you relive the history of the town over the centuries since the Gallo-Roman period until today. The “minerals” room contains an important collection of hard stones, various minerals and meteorites. In the "miller" room, you can see the remains of the wheel of the old mill. You will also discover a reconstruction of the interior of a habitat dating from the end of the 1th century with an important exhibition of everyday objects: iron, lantern, doll, loom... The Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions takes you in the daily rural life of the time. The museum is open from April 30 to September 14 every last Sunday of the month from 30:18 p.m. to XNUMX p.m.
