Description of the hike

(1) From the car park, walk along the surrounding wall of the abbey which goes down to the ru des Vaux.

(2) Head left then take the path on your right, continuing the blue and white marked route that climbs the very steep hill.

(3) Follow the path to the paved road and take the left lane.

(4) At the Jumelles crossroads, take the dirt road on your left.

(5) At the 1st crossroads, continue straight and go down then turn left at the second crossroads.

(6) Arrived at the end of the surrounding wall of the abbey, continue straight. After passing the relaxation area, climb on your left a small winding path to reach the sandstone blocks at the top. Be careful, this hill is very steep!

(7) Continue your way by taking the alley which leaves on the right.

(8) At the "peek epeiche" terminal, turn right then at the "common charm" information terminal, continue on the path to the left and go down.

(9) Go up the path on your right. At the top, continue on your right until the houses of the Marshals, then take on your left (to the right of the marked tree) the path which descends towards the Cernay pond.

(10) At the monument dedicated to Pelouse, turn right along the peaceful Cernay pond and continue straight ahead to the car park.
