LA SHEPHERD NATIONALE, AN ESSENTIAL FARM:
An exceptional place steeped in history, La Bergerie Nationale is a treasure of our heritage. Created in the 18th century at the request of Louis XVI as a “model farm” of innovation, it has since spread internationally thanks to its herd of merino sheep, unique in the world. Two centuries later, this now organic farm still fulfills its pioneering missions, particularly in the areas of knowledge transmission, heritage preservation and agrobiology.
